Challenge 

Ideas with Impact is a brand communications and experiential marketing agency that delivers virtual and live events, and executive communications. The events range from intimate VIP gatherings to user conferences with thousands of attendees, and Ideas with Impact works with its clients on every aspect – from strategy and messaging to content creation and production. 

We determine how to best deliver content in live event environments to make the most impact and help drive a company’s business goals and strategies. Every technology touchpoint has to personify the creativity and innovation of the brand. And, it has to be approachable and work flawlessly. No exceptions.

One of their clients, a global computer software company, was holding a field marketing event to target new and existing customers. Ideas with Impact was tasked with hosting the in-person event of a keynote and multiple breakouts, and live streaming all the sessions.  Selecting the right event technology for this type of client was crucial as it would strongly reflect upon Ideas with Impact’s brand. 

Solution 

I watched the event online, and the quality of the stream was beautiful. Our production design looked great on-screen and the thoughtful consideration given to both the in-person and virtual experiences paid off.

Ideas with Impact turned to Video Solutions to provide turnkey live streaming services. Video Solutions worked hand-in-hand with the software company’s in-house content team to create an event landing page, microsite, and a secure, customized, and branded video portal where viewers could create channels, playlists and catalogs. The content was also available on demand. 

Results 

Video Solutions gave people the flexibility to transcend physical space and time considerations, and it allowed the company to segment its market as far as how it was offering the event – as an in-person or virtual ticket. The Video Solutions team was very responsive. This was an intricate project, and the team handled the dynamic scope of work extremely well. They were true partners with us from the initial scoping call through the last VOD pasting. They were up early and worked late to ensure our success, which I really appreciated.

By offering an online component to the event, the software company reached a much larger audience of people who otherwise couldn’t attend due to time or budget constraints. In addition to the roughly 700 people in attendance (the venue’s capacity), there was an entire virtual community of attendees. All attendees received access to the on-demand content after the event.
